Overview
WA Trade Copilot helps export sales users translate and manage the current WhatsApp Web conversation. It is not affiliated with WhatsApp, Meta, Google, or their subsidiaries.
Data We Process
- Current visible WhatsApp Web message text.
- Draft text typed by the user in the WhatsApp Web composer.
- Customer display name, visible phone or chat identifier, and message status shown in the currently loaded left chat list when the local customer-table feature is enabled.
- Translation results, local customer-table fields, local quick-reply scripts, and manually entered customer follow-up fields.
- Extension settings and a browser pairing token.
The extension does not collect WhatsApp passwords, login QR payloads, cookies, or session credentials. It does not inspect WhatsApp private JavaScript modules, internal stores, IndexedDB, or web-storage caches.
How We Use Data
We use data only to provide translation, local customer tables, local quick replies, user-initiated customer-profile upload, account and membership checks, and Chinese leak protection. WA Trade Copilot does not sell user data and does not use user data for advertising.
Service Providers
Message or draft text selected for translation is processed by the WA Trade Copilot cloud backend and Google Cloud Translation. Customer-profile fields are processed by the WA Trade Copilot backend only when the user explicitly chooses Save and Upload or Upload Customers.
Retention, Control, and Security
Translation cache, customer tables, quick-reply scripts, and extension settings are stored in the user's browser local storage by default. The cloud backend stores account, membership, pairing, translation usage, operational logs, and customer-profile fields the user explicitly uploads. Users can disable automatic translation, visible-chat-list reading, Enter/send-key translation, and Chinese leak protection in extension settings. Google Translation credentials are stored only on the backend service.
